This contract role seeks a knowledgeable professional to contribute vital skills in cardiovascular procedures, collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to support top-quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Cath Lab Tech and/or equivalent credentials
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care cardiac catheterization laboratory
- Proficiency with advanced imaging equipment and sterile techniques
- Ability to monitor patient condition and respond promptly to emergent situations
- Strong communication skills for effective team coordination and patient interaction
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain before start date)
Schedule:
Full-time hours; specific shift information will be discussed during the interview process
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, calibrate, and operate imaging equipment for invasive cardiac procedures
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
- Document patient data, procedural findings, and maintain accurate records
- Monitor and respond to patient vital signs throughout procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and infection control protocols
- Participate in the maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
