Shift:
8a-8p shifts; shifts will be 12+ hours depending upon patient flow; 3 shifts/week
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Position Details:
- Coverage location: Richmond, VA (multiple locations across the Richmond area)
- Clinics are open 7 days a week 100% outpatient setting
- Average patient volume ranges from 25-50 patients per day
- Coverage needed due to provider resignations and staffing shortages
Patient Population: Birth to death; varies by clinic and day
Setting: Clinic Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients See all patients arriving during operational hours Manage episodic illnesses and injuries Determine when patients require transfer to a higher level of care Required Procedures: Laceration repair (simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling) Incision and drainage (I&D), including packing Foreign body removal Minor burn management Skin lesion care Orthopedic injury stabilization Splinting and casting Joint reductionX-Ray interpretation Electrocardiogram (EKG) evaluation Point-of-care lab interpretation Epistaxis management Cerumen impaction removal Airway support and nebulizer treatmentsEMR System: EpicDays Per Month: 3 shifts/week
On-Call/Weekends: No call required; weekends required
Requirements:
Board Certified - Required- Active VA License - Required- Active BLS - Required- Active DEA - Required- At least 1 year of experience in an ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care setting - Required- Clean background/no malpractice or license issues, no exceptions - Required Join us today!
