Lead Fabricator

Overview: Help maintain the successful operation of fabrication shop. Maximize production and create quality products for our customers. Adhere to all written procedures and all safety standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: The role's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support and assist VEMC.Delegate work assignments to shop fabricators.
• Communicate with sales team on existing and upcoming projects. Give presentations and demonstrations to new and existing customers.
• Fabricate new parts for customers.
• Perform basic maintenance of shop machinery.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on shop machinery.
• Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
• Communicate with receiving dept on inbound inventory.
• Perform safety meetings and required safety inspections.
• Palletize products for shipping.
• Offload and receive new inventory.
• Maintain and secure work tools.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Painting of completed pipe spools
• Perform quality control procedures.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Be available for on call after hours service.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others, report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.

Working Conditions: Ability to work in warehouse conditions exposed to various elements of temperature and noise.
