Head of Finance

What You’ll Do: Own the company's accounting and financial reporting activities Lead the monthly close and preparation of financial statements Build budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and financial modeling processes Oversee inventory accounting, COGS, product costing, and gross-margin reporting Partner with leadership on financial and operational decision-making Establish accounting policies and address technical US GAAP matters Manage working capital, cash management, AP, and ARBuild scalable processes, reporting, and internal controls Help select and implement accounting and operational systems Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners Support financing and other strategic initiatives Build out the finance organization as the company scales What We’re Looking For 8-15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience Startup experience is required Proven ability to operate in an early-stage environment with limited existing infrastructureCPA strongly preferred Big 4 or national public accounting foundation preferred Hands-on inventory and COGS experience within a physical-goods business Experience personally owning a full monthly close Strong US GAAP and technical accounting knowledge Financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting experience Comfortable operating across both accounting and strategic finance Highly hands-on mentality — willing to build and execute rather than simply oversee an established team Experience within manufacturing, hardware, electronics, industrial products, equipment, distribution, or other inventory-intensive businesses is particularly relevant.
