Senior Staff Accountant

Core Responsibilities: General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of accounting data by verifying, allocating, and entering journal entries. Accounts Receivable: Ensure timely invoicing to customers, accurate application of customer payments, and prompt follow-up on past-due accounts. Payroll: Process bi-weekly payroll with ADP software for approximately 50 employees. Account Reconciliations: Perform bank and account reconciliations at each month-end. Audit & Compliance: Prepare workpapers and schedules assigned. Ensure adherence to internal controls and legal regulations. Taxation: Prepare sales and use tax calculations and filings. Coordinate with external tax team to prepare workpapers for federal and state tax filings. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with accounting and other departments, such as Sales, Production, and Engineering, to meet manufacturing schedules and support cost control initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls. Experience working in a public company preferred. Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros). Hands-on experience with large ERP accounting software, preferred NetSuite.
