Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney in Miami, FL, to manage sophisticated legal matters with sound judgment. The role involves working directly with clients in a collaborative, technology-forward environment, focusing on Internet, technology, privacy, defamation, intellectual property, and business disputes.
Duties:
Take ownership of litigation matters from strategy through resolution. Draft and revise legal documents, including complaints and motions. Conduct legal research and translate findings into strategy and writing. Prepare for and participate in depositions and trial work. Communicate directly with clients and related parties. Manage deadlines, priorities, and client needs across a caseload. Collaborate with the firm while independently managing matters.
Requirements:
Active IL law license; additional admissions are valuable. 2 years of litigation experience with limited supervision. Meaningful deposition and trial experience. Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills. Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize effectively. Strong client judgment and professional time discipline. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active FL Bar admission. Skills Proficiency in legal technology and AI tools. Experience with practice-management software like Clio. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
