Location: Los Angeles, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time Build Communities. Lead Exceptional Projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead the field operations for a large-scale multifamily construction project in the Los Angeles area. This is an opportunity for a proven construction leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong track record of delivering complex residential projects safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion while leading field teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and project management staff.
Responsibilities: Provide overall leadership and management of all field operations. Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel. Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications. Identify and proactively resolve construction challenges to minimize schedule impacts. Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and daily planning activities. Monitor manpower, productivity, and sequencing to achieve project milestones. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, inspections, and field logs. Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure compliance with all applicable building codes. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement on the jobsite. Mentor assistant superintendents and field engineers to support their professional development.
Qualifications: 10+ years of commercial construction experience with at least 5 years serving as a Superintendent on multifamily residential projects. Demonstrated success delivering ground-up multifamily developments valued at $50M+.Extensive knowledge of structural concrete, wood framing, podium construction, MEP coordination, and building envelope systems. Strong understanding of California building codes and construction practices. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards. Preferred
Qualifications: Experience with Type I, III, and V multifamily construction. LEED accreditation or sustainable construction experience. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
