Hematology & Oncology Overview A health system in Michigan is seeking a Board Certified Hematologist/Oncologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment beginning this fall. This opportunity offers two consecutive weeks of coverage per month, primarily in an outpatient setting with light phone call responsibilities. Join a collaborative oncology team supported by experienced APPs, dedicated oncology staff, and a multidisciplinary cancer program.

Call: Light beeper call with occasional nights and weekends; phone call onlyEMR: Athena and Cerner Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call Clinical Responsibilities Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care Evaluate new patients and conduct follow-up visits Participate in occasional inpatient consults Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary oncology support teams Participate in weekly tumor board discussions
Requirements:
  • MD or DOBoard Certified in Hematology/Oncology
  • Fellowship training preferred
  • Active state medical license required
  • Hospital privileges requiredIMLC not accepted
  • Comfortable providing outpatient hematology and oncology care with limited inpatient consultation
