This is a senior technical role for someone who can personally program the hardest simultaneous 5-axis parts in Mastercam, then turn those decisions into standards - tooling libraries, fixture libraries, programming templates, and validated posts - that let junior and mid-level programmers execute reliably without re-solving every problem from scratch. What You'll Be Doing: Personally program complex simultaneous and indexed 5-axis components in Mastercam Develop complete manufacturing strategies for new aerospace and defense components, from model/print through production Design fixtures, workholding, soft jaws, and other manufacturing aids Define cutting tools, holders, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters, and build standardized tooling libraries Develop reusable Mastercam templates, programming standards, and fixture/workholding libraries Support development, validation, and troubleshooting of CNC post processors Lead or support first-article prove-out and validate programs before they reach production Build setup documentation and standards that let junior programmers execute proven strategies without making every decision themselves Machines, Controls & Software Mastercam is a hard requirement - this role calls for deep, current experience personally programming difficult multi-axis parts, not learning the software on the job. You'll be working on modern 4/5-axis milling equipment running complex simultaneous toolpaths on tight-tolerance aerospace and defense components. Experience with DMG Mori, Mazak, Okuma, or similar high-end multi-axis platforms is a plus, as is prior work developing or modifying CNC post processors.

What We're Looking For: Required Deep, current Mastercam programming experience, including complex simultaneous and indexed 5-axis work A track record of taking a component from model/print through programming, setup, prove-out, and production Fixture and workholding design experience Strong GD&T and blueprint interpretation, with a solid understanding of CNC machine kinematics and post processing Ability to translate senior-level manufacturing knowledge into repeatable standards other programmers can follow Preferred Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience, ideally in an AS9100 environment Experience building standardized Mastercam tool libraries, templates, and programming environments Experience developing or modifying CNC posts Pro Shop ERP experience Experience mentoring programmers or manufacturing engineers Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay: $120,000 - $145,000 per year, based on demonstrated experience.
