This role provides inpatient trauma critical care support through rounds, consults, discharge coordination, and clinical support for nurses and care teams.
About the Opportunity
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday through Sunday
Hours: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PMSetting: Inpatient acute care
Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient trauma ICU advanced practice support across the unit and step-down setting. Complete daily rounds and assist with trauma consult services. Support patient discharges, prescriptions, and ongoing care coordination. Respond to clinical questions from nursing staff and collaborate with the care team. Work closely with lead APPs to support coverage in a high-volume trauma environment.
Qualifications:
Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license. Active New Jersey license. For Nurse Practitioners, Acute Care NP certification is required. DEA registration. At least 1 year of experience in trauma and/or ICU care.
Desired Skills:
Trauma and ICU experience. Two or more years of advanced practice experience in a hospital setting. Experience working with inpatient trauma populations.
