Airfield Management Specialist

Duties: Initiate emergency action checklists for the following: severe weather warnings, overdue aircraft search and rescue procedures, in-flight or ground emergencies, natural disasters. Submit and ensure publication of Notices to Airman (NOTAM) pertaining to Davison Army Airfield and the most complex airspace system in the CONUS that includes Special Flight Restriction Area (SFRA) and Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ).Provide detailed assistance to military pilots and pilots of private, foreign, and contract aircraft in planning route of flight, preparation of flight plans and flight computations, and obtaining a clearance to fly in controlled airspace. Decode and relay local weather conditions, wind, altimeter setting, NOTAM, preferred runway based on current wind data or local noise abatement procedures and other pertinent known traffic and airfield conditions to pilots when requested.
