Electric Power DistributionElectrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation ContractorsEngineering Services-Entry-level Electrical Engineering opportunity supporting electrical power systems, testing and distribution projects-Opportunity for a recent Electrical Engineering graduate to work closely with an experienced Professional Engineer while developing technical expertise in power system studies, protection and electrical distribution-Long-term opportunity to develop within the organization and pursue the EIT and PE pathRole Responsibilities:-Focus on the front-end of the power service world by performing and supporting power system studies for customer facilities-Perform and support arc flash, short circuit, coordination, load flow, harmonics and power factor studies-Provide scheduled studies to facilities and assist with updating studies as equipment or changes to a facility take place-Assist with updating breaker and relay settings and developing relay settings files for modern relays-Develop technical expertise in power system design, protection and operation-Review engineering final project reports, make notes and edits and help produce a formal finished product-Perform site walk-throughs with the sales team to provide technical knowledge and establish technical rapport with customers-Assist with the design and development of electrical power distribution systems-Build technical relationships within the Chicagoland electrical community, including the data center, building association, electrical contractor, NETA and industrial communities-Work toward developing the knowledge and experience necessary to potentially achieve a NETA Level 4 credential-Follow safety, testing and service protocols along with customer requirements, ANSI/IEEE/NETA procedures and OEM requirementsQualifications:-Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering-Recent or soon to be Electrical Engineering graduate or early-career Engineer with an interest in electrical power systems and distribution-Coursework or project experience involving power systems or electrical distribution
