Registered Nurse Med Surg

HCA Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Med Surg unit on a PRN basis. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate treatment plans for diverse adult patients. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, provide patient and family education, and ensure accurate documentation. Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members Document care accurately in the EHR and maintain compliance standards Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards on the unit Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in emergencies Support a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning Medical-surgical nursing Patient assessment IV therapy and medication administration Wound care management Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Care planning and care coordination Telemetry monitoring basics Infection control practices Patient and family education Emergency response (BLS/ACLS) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred/required within timeframe Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN) preferred
