We are partnered with a leading design-build contractor specializing in cold storage, food processing, distribution, manufacturing, and industrial facilities throughout the United States. The company delivers highly technical projects ranging from refrigerated and freezer warehouses to large-scale industrial developments, with a strong focus on schedule certainty, safety, and quality. This role is responsible for managing all field operations from site mobilization through turnover while coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring successful project delivery. Responsibilities:
Lead all on-site construction activities for ground-up cold storage, food processing, distribution, and industrial projects. Manage daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, manpower planning, and site logistics. Develop and maintain short-interval schedules to support overall project milestones. Coordinate construction activities with project management teams, owners, design consultants, and trade partners. Enforce company safety standards and maintain a proactive safety culture across the jobsite. Conduct daily site walks to monitor production, quality, safety compliance, and project progress. Oversee structural concrete, tilt-wall erection, structural steel, building envelope, refrigeration systems, MEP installation, and interior buildout activities. Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Manage procurement and delivery of long-lead materials and critical equipment. Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and field directives to ensure proper execution. Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget. Lead subcontractor meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings. Maintain project documentation including daily reports, safety records, manpower tracking, and progress updates. Support project closeout activities including punch list management, startup, commissioning, and owner training. Projects & Scope Ground-up cold storage and freezer warehouse facilities Refrigerated distribution and logistics centers Food processing and food manufacturing facilities Industrial manufacturing plants Warehouse and distribution centers Tilt-wall and structural steel facilities Temperature-controlled environments ranging from refrigerated to deep-freeze applications Fast-track and schedule-driven construction environments Occupied facility expansions and phased construction projects Complex MEP, refrigeration, and specialty industrial systems Qualifications and Experience 8+ years of construction experience with at least 5 years in a Superintendent role. Experience managing ground-up industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or cold storage projects. Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor management. Experience overseeing structural concrete, tilt-wall, structural steel, and building envelope scopes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Proficiency with construction management software and field reporting tools. OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel extensively nationwide and work on project assignments for extended durations. Location Nationwide travel required. Projects are located throughout the United States.
