Injection Mold Operator Injection Mold Operator 1st Shift | $23.00-$24.00/hr | Schedule: 5:00am 2:30pm Putnam, CT What's in it for you? Competitive hourly pay: $23.00-$24.00 based on experience First-shift schedule means your evenings are free Long-term opportunity with training and growth potential Supportive, safety-first work environment Gain hands-on technical experience in a high-demand industry We are seeking a mechanically inclined and detail-oriented injection mold operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mold changeovers, basic maintenance and repair of molds and related equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of production tools. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform mold changeovers, including removal and installation of tooling, air lines, fill guns, and material supply hoses Inspect and evaluate molds; relocate them based on assessment outcomes Conduct minor repairs and preventative maintenance on molds and presses Rebuild and test fill guns to ensure proper operation Verify mold setup through test runs Maintain appropriate levels of spare parts for mold maintenance and fill gun repairs Operate powered industrial trucks (PITs) and complete safety check documentation Accurately complete production and quality records Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area following 5S standards Perform all tasks in compliance with company safety and quality standards Other duties as assigned Compensation Pay will be offered based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.

Skills & Qualifications:
Prior experience with mold setup, injection molding, or tooling preferred Mechanically inclined with hands-on troubleshooting ability Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and diagrams Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment PIT (forklift) certification preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
