Critical Care Float Pool Nurse

UCHealth seeks a Critical Care Float Pool Nurse for the Metro Denver region to deliver advanced, patient-first care across ICU and step-down units. You will float between UCHealth hospitals, rapidly assessing and stabilizing critically ill patients, managing ventilators, drips, and invasive lines while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team. Provide high-acuity bedside care to critical care patients across multiple units within the Metro Denver region Rapidly assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in ICU and step-down environments Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care Float between designated UCHealth hospitals based on staffing needs while adapting quickly to new units and workflows Administer medications, manage ventilators and invasive lines, and respond to emergencies and rapid responses Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning Document accurately in the electronic health record and follow all regulatory and safety standards Participate in ongoing education, skills training, and quality improvement initiatives Critical care nursing Ventilator management Hemodynamic monitoring Medication administration Cardiac rhythm interpretation Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation IV and central line management Emergency response/rapid assessment Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license (Colorado or compact state) Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Critical care experience in ICU or step-down setting preferred Ability to float between units and facilities Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) Specialty certification such as CCRN preferred
