Cenith Innovations builds mission-specific planning tools and specialized autonomous assets to solve last-mile problems. We are scaling production to meet demand and seeking an Autonomous Systems Assembly Technician to assemble, integrate, and test drones, payloads, electronics, ground equipment, and other complex hardware. This is a hands-on production role that spans mechanical assembly, electrical integration, system bring-up, functional testing, and troubleshooting. You will work from technical documentation, partner closely with engineering, production, quality, and inventory management, and help turn evolving designs into dependable, repeatable builds.
Key Responsibilities: Systems Assembly and Integration Assemble drones, robotic platforms, payloads, ground equipment, and electromechanical subassemblies using drawings, bills of material, and controlled work instructions. Integrate sensors, radios, compute modules, power systems, actuators, wiring harnesses, and other electronics into mechanical assemblies. Install connectors, route and secure cables, apply specified torque, adhesives, and fasteners, and verify fit, alignment, and serviceability. Incorporate commercial, custom-fabricated, 3D-printed, and CNC-machined components into complete systems and production-ready assemblies. Production Execution and Documentation Execute travelers, routings, work instructions, drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately and in sequence. Record build status, serial and lot traceability, as-built configuration, inspection results, test results, and identified issues. Work closely with inventory management on production kits, material shortages, substitutions, inventory transactions, and point-of-use availability. Help improve work instructions, fixtures, tooling, assembly sequences, and workstation organization as production scales. Testing and Troubleshooting Perform continuity, power-on, functional, subsystem, and full-system integration tests using approved procedures and test equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-enabled hardware issues using multimeters, diagnostic tools, test fixtures, and a disciplined problem-solving process. Prepare systems for ground and flight testing, support post-test inspection, and complete approved repairs or rework. Quality Safety and Production Scale Perform self-inspection and follow configuration-control, traceability, nonconformance, rework, and release requirements. Follow electrical safety, battery-handling, ESD, tool-control, and shop-safety practices while maintaining a clean work area. Give engineering and production clear feedback on manufacturability, recurring defects, assembly constraints, and opportunities to improve throughput and build consistency.
Required Qualifications: Applied experience assembling, integrating, testing, or repairing complex electromechanical hardware. Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material, work instructions, and technical specifications. Comfort using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring tools, fixtures, adhesives, and production hardware. Experience with electrical assembly practices such as connector installation, crimping, harness routing, continuity checks, and basic soldering. Ability to use a multimeter and other test equipment to isolate faults and verify system performance. Careful documentation habits and respect for configuration control, traceability, inspection, and quality requirements. Ability to manage priorities, communicate issues clearly, and work effectively with technicians, engineers, quality personnel, and inventory management.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with UAS, drones, robotics, aerospace, defense systems, electric vehicles, or other complex mobile hardware. Experience integrating payloads, avionics, sensors, radios, embedded computers, batteries, power distribution, or motor-control systems. Experience supporting ground tests, flight-test preparation, post-test inspection, or field repairs. Familiarity with 3D printing, CNC processes, fabricated parts, production fixtures, and rapid hardware iteration. Experience with ERP or MRP systems, work orders, inventory transactions, or serialized hardware records.
What We Are Looking For: You are a careful, hands-on builder who enjoys making complex systems work. You can move between mechanical assembly, electronics, testing, and troubleshooting without losing attention to documentation or quality. You ask good questions, surface problems early, and improve the process as you learn the product. Cenith is a collection of experienced, highly competent, mission-focused people who are also easy-going, humble, and fun to be around. If this sounds like you, please reach out.
