The Role: Datifact is hiring a Technical Project Manager to run AI and data engagements from kickoff to go-live and into managed services. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Client Delivery. The Technical Project Manager is the connective tissue between engineering and the client. The role keeps scope, timelines and decisions clear, speaks fluently with engineers about data pipelines, ontologies and LLM agents, and speaks just as fluently with CFOs and COOs about outcomes. When a project is on track, it is because this person made it so.

What You Will Do:
  • Delivery and execution
  • Own end-to-end delivery of client engagements: discovery, data layer builds, ontology design, application builds and go-live
  • Build and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies and resourcing across several concurrent clients
  • Run sprint planning, standups and retrospectives, and keep the backlog groomed and prioritized
  • Track scope, budget and hours against the statement of work, and flag risks early with a clear recommendation
  • Client leadership
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for client stakeholders, from finance and operations leaders to IT teams
  • Lead kickoffs, status meetings, demos and executive readouts
  • Run discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews, and translate what the business needs into clear requirements engineering can build against
  • Manage change requests and keep clients aligned on what is in scope, what is next and why
  • Technical coordination
  • Coordinate system access, credentials, integrations and data connections with client IT (ERP, CRM, accounting and data platforms)
  • Write and maintain technical documentation: requirements, architecture summaries, data mappings, runbooks and handoff guides
  • Partner with the CTO, AI engineers and solutions engineering to sequence work and remove blockers
  • Coordinate vendor security reviews and compliance questionnaires with engineering
  • Operations and process
  • Build repeatable delivery playbooks so every new engagement starts faster than the last
  • Maintain the internal ticketing, project tracking and reporting that keeps leadership informed
  • Support the transition from build to managed services, including SLAs and ongoing enhancement roadmaps
  • What You Bring 5+ years of technical project management, with at least 2 years on data, analytics, BI or AI projects
  • A track record of delivering client-facing technical projects on time and within scope, ideally in consulting or professional services
  • Working technical fluency in data pipelines, data warehouses, APIs, system integrations and cloud platforms; enough to follow an architecture discussion and ask the right questions
  • Familiarity with how LLM applications are built and evaluated (retrieval, agents, prompts, evaluations)
  • Strong command of Agile and hybrid delivery methods, and the judgment to use as much process as the project needs and no more
  • Experience with project and ticketing tools (ClickUp, Jira, Asana or similar)
  • Clear, confident communication with executives and engineers alike, in writing and in the room
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable owning hard conversations about scope, timelines and tradeoffs
Nice to Have:
  • PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP or similar certification
  • Background in finance, accounting or operations systems (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Salesforce)
  • Hands-on SQL or experience with Snowflake, Databricks or similar platforms
  • Experience with EOS (Rocks, Scorecard, Level 10 meetings)
  • Experience running vendor security reviews or SOC 2 questionnaires
  • Prior work at an early-stage startup or a small, fast-moving delivery team
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base salary starts at $130,000 per year, based on experience and location.
