US Air Force Next Generation Gateway (NGG) is a cutting‑edge program supporting Dept of the Air Force Commands with information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations.
We are seeking a technical and hands‑on Deputy Program Manager to support our mission‑critical cybersecurity program. You will serve as our Local Program Manager at Hanscom AFB, MA as the operational leader, guiding day‑to‑day execution across cybersecurity operations, Zero Trust Design and cloud security, and infrastructure workstreams. You will bridge the gap between high‑level program strategy and technical engineering teams, ensuring performance, staffing, and risk mitigation remain on track.
As the Deputy Program Manager, you will be responsible for all US AF NGG Service areas (e.g., Strategy, Design, Operations) and Mission Support.
Responsibilities:
Main interaction and point of contact with government Operations Lead and government Deputy Capability Lead
Ensures customers’ requirements and drivers are understood, and represents them during project and services prioritizations
Ensures customer satisfaction is high and a constructive relationship between the organization and the area command is established and maintained
Responsible for ensuring the customer priorities for new or changed products and services, in alignment with desired business outcomes, are effectively established and articulated
Fields customer complaints and escalations are handled well through a sympathetic (yet formal) process
Ensures value creation for the customer and that the work is in line with the organization’s strategy and priorities
Provides technical, administrative, and operational oversight.
Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order administrative reporting.
Conducts planning and provides recommendations on task workload and improved technologies to ensure the capability stays relevant
Interactswith vendors, other agencies, andother client staffon behalf of the client.
Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
Ensures quality assuranceofproject deliverables, ensuringallteams are meeting technical SLAs.
Participatesinspecialprojectsasrequired.
Required Qualifications:
15+ years of related experience, including supervisory experience in support of ITnetworks and communications to include governance and policy and process development and implementation.
Experience with developing policyand implementationplans for cross‑network communications, including Service and Joint networks is required.
Experiencein the availableDoW classified and unclassified communications transport, and the organizationsthatmanagethem.
SecretClearanceisrequired, TSispreferred.
Bachelor’sDegree
Professionalcertification(PMP)
CISSPorothertechnicalcertificationsuch as Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper, or VMware.
Experienceinfinancialanalysisof largeprojects.
Experienceinmanagingandleadingcross functional teams.
Demonstrableadministrativeandorganizationalskills.

Experience with Microsoft Project and SharePoint.

Knowledgeofnetworkingsecuritybaselinesandcomplianceframeworks(e.g., DISASTIGs, CISBenchmarks).
KnowledgeandunderstandingofmethodologiesforZeroTrustcapabilities such as EDR, UEM/MDM, ICAM, network access control, micro‑segmentation, data protection, and data tagging.
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
