Description: American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with at least 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience for a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital. Details Acute care hospital Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures Adult, middle, and older adult patient populations4x12 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PMWill work 2-3 weekends per contract On-call required as needed, rotating with staff and agency, with a dedicated call team No floating within scope requiredCerner EMR experience required
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience requiredACLS, BLS, ARRT-R, and CCI RCIS certifications required (will accept CCI RCIS or ARRT-R, ARRT-R preferred)
  • License required if applicable
  • Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting experience required
  • Experience with cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy required
  • Skilled in interpretation of dysrhythmias and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Experience with equipment setup, scrubbing, and maintaining sterile field required
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE requiredCerner charting experience required
Additional Information:
  • Work in a Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 562 staffed beds
  • Perform scrub and circulator duties for cardiac cath lab procedures
  • Scrubs provided
  • Floating required to other units within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
  • Must work 2 of 3 major holidaysRTO ideally limited to 5 days or fewer
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
  • Travel pairs not accepted
