Grant Billing Analyst Nonprofit organization is seeking a Grant Billing Analyst to support the financial management and compliance of assigned contracts and grants. This position will manage a portfolio of funding agreements, support proposal and budget preparation, monitor contract activity, and prepare financial reports and submissions. The role works closely with program and finance teams to ensure financial requirements are met and contract activity is properly tracked and reported.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of government and privately funded contracts and grants
  • Support preparation of proposals, budgets, budget modifications, and financial analyses
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of required financial submissions and supporting documentation
  • Manage the allocation of personnel and other-than-personnel costs to applicable contracts
  • Monitor daily fiscal activity associated with assigned government contracts
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and cost reports
  • Analyze contract cost activity and work with the Controller to reconcile information to the general ledger
  • Review contract receivables and reconcile outstanding claims, billings, and payments received
  • Prepare and submit financial reports and updates to management
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide requested documentation and information
  • Respond to requests for financial and contract-related information in a timely manner
  • Assist with additional finance, contract, and grant-related projects as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 35 years of relevant accounting, contract, or grant management experience
  • Experience preparing and submitting vouchers, claims, or financial reports to federal, state, or local government agencies
  • Experience with nonprofit fund accounting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with government contract and grant reporting requirements
  • Familiarity with government procurement/contract management systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively with finance and program teams
  • Commitment to supporting a mission-driven nonprofit environment
