Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Escrow Assistant role based in San Diego, CA. The Escrow Assistant will support escrow officers with daily transaction management, including opening and processing escrow files, preparing documents, and updating records in internal systems. Responsibilities include coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents, tracking transaction milestones, and assisting with the scheduling and preparation of closings. The role involves reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness, handling incoming and outgoing communications, and responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner. The Escrow Assistant will also help with disbursements, document recording, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • RequiredMinimum 2 years of California escrow experience.
  • Working knowledge of California escrow procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment. Preferred
  • Experience with Qualia escrow software.
  • Experience working with independent escrow companies.
  • Understanding of DFPI escrow regulations.
  • Knowledge of title insurance procedures.
  • Familiarity with wire fraud prevention and escrow security protocols.
