Senior Sales Associate

Music & Arts is seeking a Full-Time Senior Sales Associate to lead customer service and sales in our student-focused retail store. In this role, you’ll help students, parents, and educators find the right band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons while supporting our mission of expanding access to music education. You’ll drive sales, support lesson enrollment, maintain merchandising and inventory standards, and model excellent service for the team. This on-site role is ideal for someone with strong retail experience, a passion for music, and a desire to support local schools and the community. Deliver exceptional customer service to students, parents, and educators in a retail environment Drive sales of band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons to meet store goals Provide knowledgeable product recommendations and guide customers through rental and purchase options Support lesson program enrollment and promote educational offerings and events Maintain merchandising standards, store cleanliness, and organized product displays Assist with inventory management, including stocking, tagging, and processing shipments Accurately handle POS transactions, rentals, returns, and paperwork Collaborate with store and school service teams to support local schools and community outreach Support new team members by sharing product knowledge and best practices Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Customer relationship management Product knowledge – musical instruments Inventory management Cash handling and reconciliation Merchandising and store presentation Sales reporting and goal tracking Lesson and rental program administration Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, web-based systems) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Background in music performance or education preferred Retail sales or customer service experience in music or specialty retail preferred
