Executive Underwriter

Key Responsibilities: Evaluate new and renewal submissions, identifying exposures and structuring tailored loss sensitive construction business Underwrite W/C, General Liability and Auto coverage General Contractors, Specialty Trades, Heavy Construction, etc.,.Analyze risk, pricing, and coverage terms; develop and present competitive proposals Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers in the local assigned territory Drive new business through strategic positioning and pipeline development*National accounts casualty Underwriters are urged to apply as training can be provided on construction.

Qualifications: 4+ years of underwriting construction industry segments ideal Strong knowledge of General Liability, W/C, and Auto coverages required Expertise in loss sensitive casualty business required Retail brokerage network base in the NYC territory required Bachelor’s degree required; CPCU or similar designation preferred
