Real Estate Litigation Associate – Capital Markets

Location: New York, NY — On-site. This is a fully in-office opportunity.

Note: Must have an active New York Bar license, 4+ years of commercial litigation experience, and 2+ years of commercial landlord-tenant litigation experience.

Job Description: Represent clients in sophisticated commercial litigation matters involving real estate and capital markets. Handle commercial landlord-tenant disputes, including preparation and service of predicate notices and court pleadings. Manage commercial foreclosure litigation and develop knowledge of real estate foreclosure practice. Take an active role in motion practice, discovery, e-discovery, and courtroom proceedings. Research complex legal issues and draft persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents. Apply proper New York citation formatting and maintain a high standard of legal writing. Work independently on assigned matters while collaborating closely with attorneys and legal professionals across the team. Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced practice while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization.

Qualifications: Active New York Bar license.4+ years of directly relevant commercial litigation experience.2+ years of commercial landlord-tenant litigation experience. Experience with motion practice, discovery, e-discovery, and courtroom proceedings. Experience preparing and serving predicate notices and drafting court pleadings. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent academic credentials. Commercial foreclosure litigation experience is preferred; willingness to learn is acceptable. Large regional, national, or international law firm experience preferred. Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
