Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Intermountain Health seeks a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. In this fast-paced role, you will perform rapid assessment, triage, and evidence-based emergency care for diverse patient populations. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms, assisting with procedures, and coordinating care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. You will provide compassionate patient and family education, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and uphold safety and infection control standards in a mission-driven, supportive environment with growth opportunities. Perform rapid assessment and triage of Emergency Department patients Provide evidence-based nursing care, including medication administration and IV therapy Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment Assist providers with emergency procedures and interventions Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the EHR accurately and timely Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and quality standards Respond to codes and emergent situations using appropriate protocols Support a compassionate, patient-centered culture and mentor less experienced staff Emergency nursing care Triage and rapid assessment IV insertion and medication administration Cardiac and rhythm monitoring Wound care and splinting Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Patient and family education Care coordination and collaboration Infection control practices Emergency equipment operation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license (state of practice) BLS Certification ACLS Certification PALS or ENPC Certification TNCC preferred CEN certification preferred Emergency/Trauma course training
