This role involves managing patient assessments, planning, and implementing care while ensuring safety and compliance with clinical standards.
Responsibilities:
Administer direct patient care within the scope of nursing practice, incorporating assessment, planning, and evaluation.
Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient condition changes, diagnostic results, and treatment responses.
Respond swiftly and accurately to emergent clinical situations, demonstrating clinical proficiency and decisiveness.
Guide and educate patients and families, and oversee activities of nursing personnel in the telemetry unit.
Maintain compliance with EMTALA regulations and report child/adult abuse to appropriate authorities.
Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times, adhering to hospital policies and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Possess a current and valid state RN license.
- Hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or Red Cross.
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of recent RN experience in an acute hospital or ER setting.
- Certified in Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP).Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
- Capable of float to units of competency as needed.
