Diet Office Clerk - Per Diem

Core Job Responsibilities: Prepare dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in preparation of foods for hospital patients Examine diet orders and menus received from hospital units and tallies portions and foods of general soft diets Tally quantities of specific foods, such as vegetables and meats, to be prepared in the kitchen; marks tallies on master menu to inform kitchen personnel of food requirements Answer telephone and intercom calls and relay information to kitchen concerning meal changes, complaints, or patient discharge Communicate patient needs to appropriate staff while maintaining patient confidentiality Perform other duties as required Education/

Required: High school diploma or equivalent or relevant experience

Preferred: 0-1 year of experience in a healthcare, food service setting Licensure/
