Responsibilities: Configure and calibrate slitting and rewinding equipment to meet specific production requirements for tension, speed, and blade alignment. Execute the loading and unloading of heavy material rolls, utilizing mechanical assistance tools to ensure safe and efficient handling. Conduct rigorous quality inspections throughout the production run to identify defects and ensure adherence to strict dimensional standards. Perform routine mechanical troubleshooting and minor adjustments to maintain optimal machine uptime and performance. Interpret complex work orders to ensure accurate material processing and consistent output quality. Maintain precise production documentation and logs to support inventory and quality tracking initiatives. Uphold a high standard of workplace safety and cleanliness by strictly following operational protocols and maintenance guidelines.
Required Skills: Proven experience in a manufacturing, factory, or machine-operating environment. Demonstrated proficiency in using precision measuring tools, specifically tape measures. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve minor equipment issues. Capacity to stand for extended shifts and perform manual tasks safely. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
Preferred Skills: Prior hands‑on experience operating slitting, rewinding, or similar converting machinery. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Strong collaborative skills for working effectively within a production team.
