This part-time position (up to 30 hours per week) is responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, including compliance and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record contributions and donations; manage accounts receivable and payable
- Process biweekly payroll and maintain payroll-related records
- Maintain employee Paid Time Off and benefit records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including tax and unemployment filings
- Lead the audit process, including preparing financial records, working with the auditors, and addressing queries in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly and annual financial, food, and attendance reports; complete annual Child and Adult Food Program application
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage deposits
- Track and report fundraising and grant-related finances
- Attends Board of Director meetings; prepare and distribute Board packets and maintain accurate meeting notes
- Assist Executive Director with financial records, fundraising events, and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required: Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred
- Experience in accounting and financial management
- Strong knowledge in QuickBooksProficient in Microsoft, Excel, including spreadsheets and formulas
- Good organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize urgent and important tasks
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong focus on accuracy and quality
- Consistently meets deadlines while effectively managing multiple priorities
- Works well in a team environment and communicates clearly with supervisor and coworkers
