ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Opens work orders and segments via the DBS system
Manage work orders; this includes creating packets, component tracking, reviewing for completion, and closing Verifies completion of service reports prior to handing off for approval Monitors and reports on the work in process for all areas of the Service Department Interacts with customers to obtain purchase orders and provide information Must maintain a reliable flow of communication between the customer and all WMC personnel for work order process flowADDITIONAL FUNCTIONSAnswers telephone and transfers calls File and maintains records Assists with timecard entry and reconciliation for payroll Creates memos, letters, and spreadsheets as needed May be involved in special projects such as capital budget or operating statement codingQUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITYHigh school diploma or equivalent required Minimum two years' experience in service shop support position Experience with work order and database applications Proficient data entry capabilities. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English Ability to work in a team environment. Proficient in use of a desktop computer, including Microsoft Office products, AS400 system and calculator, telephone, fax machine, copy machine and printer. Ability to work with customers in a professional manner and develop/maintain relationshipsPHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTSOffice environment; moderate noise level Material and equipment directly used: Computer terminals, personal computer, calculator, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, and printers. Ability to walk up and down stairs. Frequent sitting/standing for long periods using a computer Frequent use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and writing and typing Overtime and varying schedules may be required Professional dress code is required.
