Our client is a well-established P&C insurer seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to bridge the gap between complex insurance data and actionable business insights. You’ll design and build analytics-ready data assets across Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Product, Distribution, and Finance, supporting Personal, Commercial, and Farm lines of business. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with modern data architecture, build trusted reporting solutions, and help advance a Snowflake-based data environment. Location: Remote What will you be doing? Partner with Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Distribution teams to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and data specifications Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Sigma, Power BI, or similar BI platforms Design and maintain data models, transformations, semantic layers, and pipelines within a Snowflake-based medallion architecture Develop scalable and testable data pipelines using SQL and dbt Integrate data from internal and external sources, including policy systems and CRM platforms Build certified data products and semantic layers that enable business teams to perform self-service analytics Establish data governance standards around definitions, access, metadata, and quality Validate data outputs and troubleshoot reporting or production issues Support recurring, ad hoc, financial, operational, and executive reporting Collaborate within an Agile environment and participate in planning, refinement, and sprint reviews Continuously improve data products based on stakeholder feedback What do you need to succeed? Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related fieldP&C insurance experience required, with a strong understanding of the insurance value chain and core metrics such as premium, loss, and reserving Strong experience building dashboards and reports in Sigma, Power BI, or equivalent BI platforms Strong experience with Snowflake and transformation tools such as dbt Strong SQL skills; Python or similar scripting experience preferred Understanding of dimensional modeling, ELT processes, and modern data architectures Experience with data integration methods including APIs, flat files, and semi-structured data Experience working in Agile environments Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders Familiarity with insurance systems such as Guidewire, POINT, Duck Creek, or similar platforms preferred Experience migrating from legacy data warehouses to modern platforms such as Snowflake preferred Why Apply?
