ABOUT CHILL-NChill-N is the smallest ice cream factory you'll ever walk into, and our team's job is to bring every guest inside it. Guests pick the base, the flavor and the Mix-N's, then watch us freeze their cup in front of them at −320°F. We started in Miami in 2012 and now have 15 locations in five states, ten of them in South Florida. We're a family business. The family that started Chill-N still runs it, and we treat our team, our guests and our neighborhoods like family too. We're serious about the ice cream and easy about everything else. THE ROLE: You run one Chill-N store: the guest experience, the team and the operation. You're the most senior person in the store and the first call when something needs a decision. You report directly to our Chief Operating Officer, with no layers in between.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Guests. Set the standard for service, fix it on the spot when a visit goes wrong, and reply to guest reviews within 24 hours. Team. Hire, train, schedule and coach your Team Members and Team Leaders. Develop at least one leader who can run the store when you're out. Operations. Keep the store clean, stocked, food-safe and fast on every shift. Jump on the line at peak. Numbers. Own inventory, ordering, cash and the weekly report. Manage food and labor costs. Neighborhood. Grow catering, fundraisers and in-store parties. Build relationships with nearby schools, organizations and businesses. Ideas. Try new things that fix something real, and tell us what worked. REQUIRED2+ years directly managing a team: hiring, scheduling, coaching and holding people accountable 1+ years in food service, restaurant or hospitality, working with guests Availability on weekends, evenings and holidays, plus some early opens and off-site catering Able to stand for a full shift (up to 8 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodationPREFERREDExperience managing food and labor costs Food Protection Manager certification Bilingual in English and SpanishSCHEDULEFull-time, 40 hours a week. The store is open 1–10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 1–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. You build the schedule, including your own, and you'll work a mix of opens, closes and weekends. Plus, admin time: 3 paid hours a week off the line for the schedule, inventory and reporting.
PAY AND BENEFITS
Pay: $23–$28 an hour based on experience, 40 hours a week, overtime-eligible. That's $47,840–$58,240 a year.
Bonus: Paid every quarter under our GM Incentive Plan, which has the full terms. It has two parts. Profit share: 3% of your store's profit for any quarter the store makes money. Growth bonus: 5% of the increase in your store's profit over the same quarter last year.- Example: your store makes $20,000 in profit this quarter, up $5,000 from the same quarter last year. You earn $600 + $250 = $850.Time off: 10 vacation days and 5 sick or personal days a year.
Certification: Florida Food Protection Manager certification within 30 days. We pay for it, and you take it on the clock.
