🚧 Construction Manager | Commercial Shopping Centers | Owners Rep📍 Location: Chicago, ILA national retail developer is seeking a Construction Manager to join its Chicago headquarters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong commercial construction management experience looking to transition to the owner/developer side. What You'll DoManage shopping center redevelopments, tenant improvements, capital projects, and future ground up developments Oversee multiple projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, and vendor payments Coordinate with Development, Leasing, Property Management, and Tenant Coordination teams Lead construction meetings and provide project reporting to executive leadership Oversee the performance of contractors, consultants, and project teams What You Bring 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience ideally with a GC background Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout Backgrounds in commercial, industrial, warehouse, healthcare, hospitality, mixed-use, or retail construction are all welcome (Retail is a plus)Travel and Environment Approximately 25% travel Typically 1–2 day trips once per week supporting projects across a national portfolio Full time in-office presence in Chicago office when not traveling Why Join Opportunity to transition to the owner/developer side Report directly to the SVP of Construction with strong executive visibility Clear path for advancement into a Director-level role If this aligns with your background, please apply below or send your resume to Nbechan@rwr.com
