Social-Emotional Support Specialist/School Psychologist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and related services. Administer, score, and interpret standardized cognitive, academic, adaptive behavior, executive functioning, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental assessments. Prepare written evaluation reports that comply with IDEA, Alaska State Regulations, and district procedures. Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs).Develop and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).Provide behavioral consultation to teachers, administrators, and families. Assist schools in implementing evidence-based behavior interventions. Provide short-term individual and small-group counseling services when appropriate. Support students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health concerns. Assist with crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and post-crisis response. Collaborate with community behavioral health agencies and outside providers. Assist schools with implementation of MTSS frameworks. Support district-wide PBIS implementation. Support district-wide Social-Emotional Learning (SEL).Assist in developing district-wide behavioral health initiatives. Accepting International Visa Applicants?
