Location: Largo, FL
Status: Fulltime
Shift Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pmWeekend Work: Occasional
On Call: NoResponsibilities:
The Lab Medical Assistant III is responsible for: Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens Referring specimens to outside laboratories Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests Performance of phlebotomy procedures Performs other duties as assigned
Credentials:
  • Driver's License in the State of Florida
  • Required ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians)
  • Or ASCPOr AMT (Medical Technologists)
  • Or Paramedic
  • Or EMT (Emergency)
  • Or Medical Technologist
  • Or Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain
  • Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida
  • Or RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Florida
Education: Required High School or equivalent
Experience: 6 months in phlebotomy and 6 months BayCare related - Required 1 year of phlebotomy - Preferred BayCare offers a competitive total reward package including:
