Adecco Staffing is working with a leading engineering and technology company in Bedford, MA to bring on an experienced Electromechanical Engineering Technician. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with engineers and scientists in a hands-on, highly technical environment supporting prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and rework.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pmPay: $40.00 – $45.00/hour depending on experience
Location: Bedford, MA
Job Duties:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, build, and rework electromechanical assemblies using electrical and mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Assemble and rework complex electromechanical components, circuitry, and engineering prototypes
  • Set up, adjust, calibrate, align, and modify electrical and mechanical components
  • Build test fixtures and set up experiments to evaluate prototype reliability and performance
  • Operate laboratory and machine shop tools to modify or fabricate parts and assemblies
  • Identify design or performance issues, collect data, and communicate findings to engineering teams
  • Use a variety of test and measurement equipment, including DVMs, oscilloscopes, data loggers, gauges, dynamometers, and flow sensors
  • Research and procure parts, tools, and test equipment as needed
  • Maintain laboratory areas, tools, and equipment to ensure proper availability and reliability
  • Communicate project status, technical issues, and findings to team leads and managers
  • Provide technical direction to other support personnel when appropriate
  • Prioritize tasks according to project objectives while working with minimal supervision
Requirements:
  • Technical diploma, vocational high school certificate, or equivalent 7+ years of experience in a comparable engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, or technical environment preferred
  • Experience working with sophisticated electromechanical assemblies and prototypes
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings
  • Experience creating and following technical documentation and work instructions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience using electrical and mechanical test equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, scientists, and other technical professionals in a fast-paced environment
