Finance Business Partner

Piper Companies is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a long-term opportunity with a leading tobacco manufacturer in Greensboro, NC. The Finance Business Partner will support commercial performance by partnering closely with Sales & Marketing leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic decision support focused on FMC P&Ls, CAPEX, and Net Working Capital. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance, this position follows a hybrid schedule with onsite presence required two days per week. Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities while maintaining ownership of FMC P&Ls, CAPEX, and Net Working Capital. Develop and maintain complex financial models, forecasting tools, ROI analyses, and scenario planning models using Excel, SAP BPC, and SAP Analytics solutions. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, People & Culture, and other business leaders to support data-driven decision-making and identify revenue growth opportunities. Analyze business performance, investigate variances, and provide actionable recommendations related to volume, pricing, product mix, costs, and profitability. Drive continuous improvement through KPI development, reporting enhancements, process optimization, automation, and improved financial visibility across the organization. Qualifications of the Finance Business Partner: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 8+ years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior Finance Business Partner experience. Experience with FMC P&Ls, CAPEX, and Net Working Capital. Experience working with SAP and/or SAP BPC.
