Role Description The Commercial Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. This position oversees day-to-day field operations, including coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, managing schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The superintendent monitors site progress, conducts regular inspections, resolves field issues, and enforces compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes. They collaborate closely with project managers, owners, architects, and inspectors, maintain detailed project documentation, and lead jobsite meetings. The role also involves promoting a strong safety culture, managing site logistics, and representing Trimbuilt professionally with clients and partners. Qualifications Experience overseeing commercial construction projects, including ground-up, renovation, and tenant improvement work. Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, plans, specifications, and industry best practices. Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain workflow on active job sites. Proficiency in construction documentation, daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and basic project administration. Commitment to jobsite safety, with experience implementing safety plans and enforcing OSHA regulations. Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with project teams, owners, and inspectors. Competence with basic construction technology tools (e.g., project management software, email, spreadsheets, digital plans).Previous experience as a superintendent or foreperson on commercial projects; experience in the Austin market is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a construction-related degree is beneficial. Ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
