Responsibilities:
Responsible for: Reviews, analyzes, and assigns codes based on appropriate coding guidelines and criteria for outpatient medical record documentation to include, but not limited to: medical, diagnostic and procedural information for the correct ICD-10-CM and/or CPT-4 HCPCS codes. Primary coding responsibility is Diagnostic/Clinical, Emergency Room, Recurring and Specimen patient types. Remote/Work From Home
Qualifications:
Minimum education required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum experience required: None. Minimum licensure/certification required by law: None.
Additional qualifications:
One or more certifications required - RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H. Coding experience preferred. Coding Certificate program (AHIMA accredited) preferred. Experience in coding at a multi-facility organization and remote coding experience is a plus.
