Details Med/Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center teaching hospital733 staffed beds Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00) Patient ratios of 1:5-6Every other weekend requiredNo on-call requirements Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including affiliated campuses Uses Epic charting system
Requirements:
  • Active NC or compact RN license required (pending license not accepted)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
  • Epic EMR experience requiredNo background or license actions within the past 12 monthsSSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information:
  • Scrub color is royal blue and white
  • Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted unless otherwise approved
  • Only one major holiday RTO request permitted
  • Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
  • Night shift travelers may extend their contract up to two times (three contracts total) before needing to wait six months to reapply
  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position
  • Travelers must be willing to float within the hospital or affiliated campuses based on staffing needs
