Mechanical Facility Designer III

Key Responsibilities: Gather and analyze data related to space utilization, occupancy, and facility conditions to support facility planning initiatives. Document existing facility conditions and maintain accurate records of how spaces are currently being utilized. Prepare and maintain reports, floor plans, and other documentation required for space planning activities. Assist with space planning initiatives to optimize workspace utilization based on business requirements. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather space requirements, communicate updates, and ensure alignment on facility projects. Support facility planners in developing space planning strategies and facility improvement initiatives. Utilize facility management software to monitor space utilization and enter service requests (SRs).Collaborate with the CAFM (Computer-Aided Facility Management) team to establish and maintain data quality standards, including accuracy, completeness, formatting, and reporting requirements. Support the implementation of facility planning policies, procedures, and standards while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience in space planning, facility management, or a related discipline preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of the MS Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel between Lake County facilities (approximately 5%).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CAFM or other facility/space management software. Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, safety regulations, and sustainability practices. Experience with space utilization reporting, facility data management, and floor plan documentation.
