Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Attorney (Midlevel–Senior) Direct Counsel is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join a top-tier, nationally recognized law firm with a sophisticated corporate practice. This role is ideal for an experienced associate looking to take on significant responsibility across complex M&A transactions while working closely with clients and senior attorneys.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate definitive and ancillary transaction documents
- Manage all phases of the deal process, including diligence, structuring, and closing
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients on M&A matters
- Supervise and mentor junior associates
- Handle multiple matters simultaneously while meeting fast-paced deal timelines
- Advise clients on a broad range of strategic transactions involving sophisticated business considerations
- Qualifications3–7 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions at a leading law firm
- Strong experience handling complex M&A transactions from inception through closing
- Demonstrated ability to manage deal workflow and client relationships
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and project-management skills
- High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within deal teams
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $260,000 – $420,000, depending on experience, skillset, and geographic location
