Vehicle Technician 1

Vehicle Technician 1 Our client, an AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Vehicle Technician 1 for their Miami, FL location. Responsibilities include configuring, setting up, maintaining, diagnosing, and signing off on vehicles for safe on-road use. The technician will sync with the Shop Foreman to ensure all vehicles are in a state for demonstration and testing requirements. They will perform diagnostics and escalate to the appropriate engineering team if required, coordinate and drive the repair process, and create diagnostic test plans as the team sees fit. The technician will maintain service records and document quality field reports, maintain shop facilities, ensure tools are in order, and keep the workspace in excellent working condition. They will assist with parts inventory, location, and organization, and build an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partners. Requirements include extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 - 4 years of technician experience, be a reliable self-starter, and have the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables. They should be a team player with excellent written and verbal skills, honesty, responsibility, and outstanding communication skills. The technician must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and sit/stand for extended periods (8+ hours) depending on the equipment type. Preferred experience includes automotive-focused engineering or research lab (i.e. Dyno, Battery, etc.), knowledge of CAN, wiring diagrams, and soldering, experience and ability to tow a car hauler and other large trailers to transport fleet vehicles, and a technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair.
