About the Role: The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel with a focus on energy and regulatory matters to join their legal team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in addressing a wide array of energy-related legal, regulatory, and public policy issues. This role is particularly suited for an attorney with 7-10 years of energy regulatory experience, including substantial engagement with FERC and State Public Utility Commissions. The primary responsibilities for this position include leading all legal work related to FERC, State PUC, and interconnection, as well as supporting energy-related policy work and engaging in regulatory rulemaking efforts. The role demands a deep understanding of FERC practice, power markets, and energy regulatory law, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple matters effectively. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. state, and have a strong background in energy regulatory law. The ideal candidate will be adept at triaging and prioritizing tasks, project managing, and be an excellent communicator. Experience in energy project development, environmental reviews, and local zoning and permitting work is also highly valued.
