Commercial HVAC/R Technician

Yellowstone Local, a marketing agency serving home service and trades businesses, is seeking a Commercial HVAC/R Technician to support its growing client base. In this role, you’ll install, diagnose, and repair commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems for clients in the field. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. The position requires strong technical skills, clear communication with customers and dispatch, and strict adherence to codes, safety standards, and documentation requirements. Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC/R systems and components Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections Install new commercial HVAC/R equipment and retrofit existing systems Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults using tools and meters Ensure all work complies with safety codes, regulations, and company standards Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage Communicate clearly with dispatch, clients, and team members on job status Recommend system improvements and energy-efficient solutions to clients Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working order Commercial HVAC/R diagnostics Refrigeration systems maintenance Electrical troubleshooting Reading blueprints and schematics Brazing and piping for HVAC/R Use of gauges and diagnostic meters Preventive maintenance planning EPA refrigerant handling Controls and thermostats setup Safety and code compliance Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred) State or local HVAC technician license (where required) OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety training (preferred) Manufacturer-specific HVAC/R training (preferred)
