We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with experience in commercial construction to support the preparation of tenders, cost estimates, and project pricing. This role is focused on analysing tender documentation, completing accurate material take-offs, and assisting with supplier pricing and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies, excellent numerical skills, and experience working with estimating and procurement software. Estimating & Tender Analysis (Primary Focus) Review and analyse tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects Conduct quantity take-offs and material measurements from plans and specifications Identify project risks, exclusions, and cost considerations during tender review Assist in preparing competitive and accurate tender submissions Quantity Surveying & Cost Management Complete accurate quantity calculations for materials, labour, and subcontractor scopes Support budgeting, cost planning, and project feasibility assessments Monitor and maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules Assist with variation pricing and cost analysis where required Supplier & Procurement Coordination Source supplier and subcontractor pricing using Procure ProObtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Assist with procurement planning and cost benchmarking Maintain supplier databases and pricing records Systems & Documentation Prepare and maintain estimating records within BuildTrendEnsure all project documentation is organised and accurately recorded Support process improvements across estimating and procurement workflows Assist with project handovers from estimating to delivery teams Tools & Systems BuildTrend (must / ideal) Procure Pro (preferred) Microsoft Excel Commercial construction plans and estimating software
