US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities: Analyze witness statements, regulations, policies, and evidentiary sources to determine if preponderance of evidence substantiates an allegation; Receive incoming complaints or allegations regarding conduct violations and define the specific allegations; Research laws, regulations, instructions, and local policies to determine applicability to the type of allegation (e.g., sexual harassment vs. fraud, waste, and abuse); Plan an in-depth investigation to ascertain objective facts pertinent to the incident outcome
