Account Manager — Flexible Packaging Remote (Midwest / Chicago or Northeast US)$80K–$120K base + performance bonus (80/20)A global leader in sustainable flexible packaging is hiring an Account Manager to lead one of its largest strategic customer relationships. This is a seat for someone who knows flexible packaging inside out and can protect a major account, grow it, and open new business on top. The company sits behind some of the most recognizable products on shelf, snacks, coffee, condiments, prepared meals, fresh produce, healthcare and pet food, and builds packaging designed to protect the product and the planet. You'd be the face of that business to a key customer, working across their commercial, technical, operations and supply chain teams to grow the relationship and deliver real value on both sides.
What you'll be doing:
  • Leading day-to-day account activity for a large strategic flexible packaging customer
  • Protecting and building on existing business, then driving new growth beyond itBuilding relationships across every level of the customer, commercial through to supply chain
  • Managing complex commercialization projects and product transitions with internal teams
  • Developing a deep understanding of the customer's market, competitors and strategy
  • Staying close to sustainable flexible packaging trends and where the market is heading
What we're looking for:
  • Flexible packaging experience is essential, any end-market, food, medical, pet, industrial
  • A track record leading and negotiating within large, complex accounts
  • Strong relationship builder who can influence across functions
  • Commercially sharp, creative and comfortable owning a strategic account end to end
  • Based in the Midwest (Chicago area) or the Northeast USAble to travel up to 40%What's on offer:$80,000 to $120,000 base plus a performance bonus on an 80/20 structure
  • A stable, base-heavy package, this is strategic account management, not a commission gamble
