ESL Instructor

Responsibilities: Provide direct ESL/ELD instruction to students at varying English proficiency levels Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state ELD standards Support students in developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills Collaborate with general education teachers to support language acquisition across content areas Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of English Learners Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Assist in assessing English proficiency and supporting reclassification processes Participate in student support meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for diverse student populations

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in TESOL, Education, or related field preferred Valid IL teaching credential Previous experience working with English Learners in a school setting Strong understanding of language acquisition and instructional strategies for EL students Knowledge of state standards and compliance requirements for English Learner programs Excellent communication and collaboration skills Culturally responsive and student-centered approach
